Dishwashers in Los Angeles
Every Los Angeles kitchen leans on its dishwasher, and we service every configuration the city installs. Standard built in units from Whirlpool and Samsung. Panel ready and fully integrated machines from Bosch, Thermador and Cove that disappear behind cabinet fronts. 18 inch compact units in condos, double drawer dish drawers from Fisher & Paykel, and ADA height units set under lowered counters. 24 years under these machines have mapped where each platform drains, circulates and dries, where each one leaks first, and what a repair that lasts looks like on all of them.
Guessing is expensive on a dishwasher because water punishes every wrong answer. Standing water can mean a drain pump, a clogged check valve or a control board that never starts the cycle, and swapping the wrong part leaves the leak or the backup exactly where it was. Our diagnostic visit is $95, waived with your repair, and it ends with a firm written quote before any work begins. The number does not shift when the toe kick comes off and the base pan tells its story. The quote you approve is the amount on your final invoice.
We are open daily from 7am to 7pm, with same or next day appointments across Los Angeles and Southern California. One call brings a factory trained technician with drain pumps, inlet valves and door latch parts already on the truck, so most dishwashers run again in a single visit. Precise diagnosis, genuine parts, and a 3 Year Onyx Warranty in writing.
What we fix
What fails inside a dishwasher.
Drain pumps, sumps and check valves
Water stands in the sump after every cycle, or drains back in an hour and the tub smells stale. We test the drain pump under power, clear the sump and check valve, and replace pumps whose impellers have worn or seized.
Circulation and wash motors
Dishes come out gritty on a full length cycle, the machine hums but nothing sprays, or the wash goes strangely quiet. We test the circulation motor windings and amperage, check the impeller for damage and replace the motor when it has failed.
Leak sensors and base pan flood lockouts
The machine stops mid cycle, flashes a leak code and will not restart, because the float in the base pan sees water. We find the actual leak, dry the pan, replace the failed hose, seal or sensor, and clear the lockout correctly.
Water inlet valves and flow meters
The cycle starts but the tub never fills, fills slowly, or keeps filling until water reaches the floor. We test the inlet valve coil and screen, verify the flow meter is counting correctly and replace the valve with a genuine OEM part.
Door latches, hinge cables and springs
The door slams down instead of gliding, the latch will not catch, or the cycle refuses to start because the machine reads the door as open. We replace snapped hinge cables, worn springs and failed latch assemblies, then verify the door switch.
Heating elements, vents and drying circuits
Dishes come out cold and dripping, plastic never dries, or the sanitize cycle fails to reach temperature. We test the heating element, the vent and fan assembly and the thermostat that governs them, and replace whichever part broke the drying circuit.
Spray arms, diverters and wash arm bearings
The top rack comes out dirty while the bottom is clean, or the arms clatter against the racks mid cycle. We clear blocked spray arm jets, test the diverter valve position and replace cracked arms and worn bearings so water reaches every level.
Control boards and touch panels
Buttons stop responding, the cycle ends minutes after it starts, or the display counts down while nothing runs. We read the fault at the board, test the touch panel and its harness, and replace the failed control with a genuine OEM part.
Most dishwasher faults share the same few symptoms, standing water, wet dishes, a cycle that quits, which is why guessing gets expensive. A factory trained Onyx technician traces the water path with testing, makes one correct repair with genuine OEM parts, and stands behind the work with a 3 Year Onyx Warranty in writing.
Why it cannot wait
Water under a cabinet does not announce itself.
A slow leak from a tired hose or a weeping pump seal soaks the toe kick and the subfloor for weeks before anything smells wrong, and by then the repair bill belongs to the floor, not the dishwasher. If the machine stops mid cycle, flashes a leak code or leaves water in the tub, have it tested this week, not this month.

Questions, answered
Before you call.
How much does dishwasher repair cost in Los Angeles?
The diagnostic visit is $95, waived with your repair. Once the fault is confirmed you receive a firm quote for parts and labor before any work begins, so you decide with the full number in front of you.
Can you come out today?
Yes, in most of Los Angeles and Southern California. We are open daily from 7am to 7pm, with same or next day appointments, and a machine leaking onto the floor is treated with urgency. Call (747) 777-9728 for an honest arrival window.
Which dishwasher brands do you repair?
All major brands, including Bosch, Thermador, Cove, KitchenAid, GE Profile, GE Monogram, Fisher & Paykel, Asko, JennAir, Samsung, LG, Whirlpool, Maytag and Frigidaire, from standard built in units to paneled dish drawers. Onyx is an independent company, not affiliated with any manufacturer.
Is my dishwasher worth repairing?
For panel ready and integrated units, almost always, replacement means matching panels and cabinetry, not just the machine. When an aging entry level unit needs a motor and a board in the same visit, replacement is often the better call, and we say so.
What warranty comes with the repair?
Every repair carries the 3 Year Onyx Warranty covering parts and labor, in writing. If the fault returns within that period, so do we, at no charge.
Will the price change once you open it up?
No. One Quote. One Price. Guaranteed Repair. No Supplemental Estimates. The number you approve after diagnosis is the number on your invoice, even when a leak turns out to involve more than the part that first raised the alarm.
The Onyx guarantee
