Often the trigger is simple. Water from a pot that boiled over, or from an enthusiastic cleaning session, seeps under the burner caps and bridges the electrode, so the module fires continuously. Spark module
The spark module generates the high voltage pulse for every burner. When it fails, burners click weakly, click without stopping, or produce no spark at all. We test its output and replace failed modules with genuine OEM units.
Spark electrodes
Each burner has a ceramic electrode whose tip erodes and whose insulator can crack, letting the spark leak away before it reaches the gas. We inspect every electrode and replace those that no longer deliver a clean spark.
Moisture after cleaning
Water under the burner caps or inside the switch harness makes the module fire continuously, often on every burner at once. We dry and clean the ignition components, then verify no deeper damage was done to the module or wiring.
Burner cap alignment
A cap that sits slightly off its base disrupts gas flow at the electrode, so the burner clicks endlessly without lighting. We reseat and align the caps, clean the ports, and confirm an even flame on every burner.
Spark switches and wiring
The small switch behind each knob tells the module to fire, and a shorted switch keeps every burner clicking even with the knobs off. We isolate the faulty switch or chafed wire and replace it.
Gas valves
A burner valve that no longer opens fully delivers too little gas to ignite, so the spark clicks over an empty port. We test flow at each burner and replace failed valves with genuine OEM parts.
